Codeyukthi LMS — Privacy Policy

Future Coders Learning Platform · operated by Dailikart LLP

Effective: August 20, 2026  ·  Last updated: August 20, 2026

Codeyukthi LMS ("we", "us", "our"), a coding-education platform operated by Dailikart LLP, is used by schools, teachers and students to learn programming through Scratch, Python, web development and AI/ML. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how and why we use it, whom we share it with, how long we keep it, how we protect it, and the rights and choices available to schools, parents, guardians and students. It applies to the website, the installable web app (PWA) and the related APIs (together, the "Platform").

By creating an account or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. If you are a student under the age of majority, your school and/or your parent or guardian accepts this policy on your behalf. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform.

Built for classrooms. Student accounts are created and managed by the student's school. For student data, the school is the data controller (it decides what is collected and why) and we act as a data processor on the school's instructions. We use student information only to provide and improve the learning service — we never sell it and never use it to show behavioural advertising to children.

1. Who we are

The Platform is provided by Dailikart LLP, based in India. For any privacy question you can reach us at admin@codeyukthi.com, or contact our Grievance Officer (see section 19).

2. Our role & scope

  • Student data — the school is the controller; we process it on the school's behalf, under its instructions and our agreement with it.
  • Teacher & administrator data, and website visitors — we act as the controller for the limited data needed to run their accounts and secure the service.
  • This policy covers the Platform only. It does not cover third-party sites or your school's own systems, which have their own privacy policies.

3. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the learning service:

CategoryExamples
Account & profileFirst and last name, username, email address, role (student / teacher / school admin), the school and grade a user belongs to, optional phone number and avatar.
Learning activityCourse enrolments, lesson and module progress, quiz and assessment results, certificates, achievements and attendance.
User-generated contentCode, Scratch and web/Python projects, submissions and any text a student or teacher voluntarily enters (including project titles and notes).
AI tutor ("TutorBot") messagesThe questions and conversation text you send to the in-app tutor, relayed to our AI provider only to generate a reply.
Session & attendanceLogin and logout times, session duration and class-attendance records generated while using the Platform.
Technical & log dataIP address, browser and device type, and basic server logs used to keep the service secure, reliable and working.
Single sign-on (SSO)If your school uses SSO, the identifier and email your school's identity provider shares with us to match you to your account.
Support communicationsMessages you send us (e.g. by email) and our replies.

4. Information we do not collect

  • We do not ask children for more personal information than is needed to take part in class.
  • We do not collect precise geolocation, contacts, photos or microphone/camera data.
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as caste, religion, health or biometric data). Please do not submit it.
  • We do not build advertising profiles or run behavioural advertising, and we do not sell personal data.

5. How we use information

  • To create and manage accounts and deliver lessons, editors, projects, assessments and certificates.
  • To show teachers and school administrators the progress, submissions and attendance of their own students.
  • To operate the AI tutor: your messages are sent to our AI provider solely to generate a helpful reply; they are not used to advertise to you.
  • To run the automatic-login (SSO deep-link) feature when your school or a trusted partner initiates it.
  • To keep the Platform secure — authenticating users, preventing abuse and troubleshooting problems.
  • To understand and improve how the Platform is used, using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where the law requires a legal basis (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and equivalent laws elsewhere), we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Consent — of the school, and of a parent/guardian for a child, obtained before processing a student's data (see section 7).
  • Performance of a contract — to provide the service the school or user has signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests / legitimate uses — to secure the Platform and prevent misuse, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.

7. Children's privacy & parental consent

The Platform is designed for learners in Grades 1–9 and college programmes, and is used in a supervised school setting. Student accounts are provisioned by schools, which confirm they have the authority and, where required, the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian to enrol the child and have us process the child's data on the school's behalf.

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from a child without such authority, we do not conduct tracking or targeted advertising directed at children, and we minimise the data collected about them. A parent, guardian or school may ask us to review, correct or delete a child's information at any time using the contacts in sections 15 and 19.

8. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

  • With the user's own school and its authorised teachers and administrators.
  • With the service providers who help us operate the Platform (see section 9), under contracts that limit them to processing data on our instructions.
  • On the direction of the school that controls a student's account.
  • Where required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users and the Platform.
  • In connection with a business transfer (e.g. merger or acquisition), in which case we will require the recipient to honour this policy.

9. Third-party service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Platform:

ProviderPurposeData involved
Web hosting providerHosting the application and database All Platform data, stored securely on our behalf
AI provider (for TutorBot)Generating tutor replies The message text you send to the tutor
School identity provider (SSO), if usedSign-in Your identifier and email from the school

These providers are permitted to use the data only to provide their service to us.

10. Cookies & sessions

We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in while you use the Platform. It is required for the service to function and is not used for cross-site tracking or advertising. We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies. Because the session cookie is strictly necessary, disabling it will prevent you from logging in.

11. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Passwords stored using one-way hashing (bcrypt) — never in plain text.
  • Encryption in transit over HTTPS.
  • Automatic-login links and tokens that are signed, short-lived and single-use, with only their hashes stored server-side.
  • Role-based access controls so users see only the data appropriate to their role and school.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to address vulnerabilities promptly.

12. Data retention

We keep account and learning data for as long as the school maintains the account, so that students keep their progress, projects and certificates. When a school or user closes an account, or on a valid deletion request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with law, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Short-lived items such as login tokens and server logs are purged on a rolling basis.

13. International data transfers

We and our service providers may store and process information in data centres located in India or other countries. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

14. Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, you (or, for a student, the parent/guardian or school on the student's behalf) may:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to erasure").
  • Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing already carried out).
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, where the law provides for this.
  • Complain to us or to the relevant data-protection authority.

Because schools own and control their student accounts, students and parents should usually raise these requests through their school; we will assist the school in fulfilling them.

15. Accessing or deleting your data

To access, export, correct or delete personal data, email admin@codeyukthi.com (schools and administrators can also action many of these requests directly from their dashboard). We will verify the request — including that it comes from the account holder, the school, or a parent/guardian — and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

16. Data breach notification

If we become aware of a personal-data breach that affects you, we will act promptly to contain and investigate it and will notify the affected schools, users and the relevant authorities where and as required by applicable law.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform or the law. When we make material changes we will update the "Effective" and "Last updated" dates above and, where appropriate, notify schools. Your continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.

18. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes relating to it are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

19. Grievance Officer & contact

If you have questions, requests or complaints about this policy or your personal data, please contact:

  • The Grievance Officer, Dailikart LLP
  • Email: admin@codeyukthi.com

We aim to acknowledge grievances promptly and to resolve them within the timeframe required by applicable law.
